I spent over 25 years as a corporate lawyer, first at Norton Rose Fulbright and subsequently at CMS, specialising in the financial services sector and, especially, the closed-ended listed investment company sector. I also enjoyed advising on numerous M&A transactions in the wealth and asset management sectors and, more esoterically, advising on the establishment of IPSX, the real estate specialist stock exchange.I am a non-executive director of Gresham House Energy Storage Fund PLC (chair of Nominations Committee and Management Engagement Committee), Baillie Gifford UK Growth Trust PLC and the Association of Investment Companies.
