Whilst I had a particular focus in developing partnerships and seeking sponsorship for the Council's arts projects, I also collaborated in a wide range of programmes covering education, English, science, sports and society.My role involved working with and advising the British Council’s global network of offices to achieve significant and sustainable impact and change by finding new ways of partnering with brands and corporates, allowing us to work more cost effectively and operate at scale.Over two years, I had the opportunity to work with the best of British creative talent through innovative, high-quality events, and collaborations with artists and cultural institutions around the world across all art forms: Architecture, Design, Fashion, Creative Economy, Film, Literature, Music, Theatre, Dance and Visual Arts.

My role involved selling sponsorship, exhibition space and delegate passes across the company’s portfolio of events. During my time at Soccerex I achieved increased year on year sales whilst maintaining high levels of repeat business. I also had an active role within the marketing department to develop marketing, partnership and communication strategies with a particular focus in the Spanish and Latin American markets. Key clients included Aggreko, Fox Sports, FC Barcelona, Boca Juniors, Argentina's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Special Olympics, amongst others.

An Internship turned full-time employment to support the President of Cartagena de Indias’ Convention and Visitors Bureau, where I helped set up the strategic tourism plan of Colombia’s number one tourist destination. I was also the liaison with key stakeholders including journalists, trade unions, hotel associations, travel agents and investors.
