Client satisfaction and support oriented-professional with experience in many areas of advertising & customer care. Exceptional abilities in oral and written communication and effective in working with various levels of management as well as clients and agencies. Knowledge in industry-specific software – this has given me the ability to adapt to ever-changing production methods and the desire to work toward increasing efficiency which is particularly important in the publishing industry. Experience in a diverse range of working and volunteer situations has afforded me the opportunities to listen, troubleshoot, delegate and follow through to insure more than satisfactory results. I enjoy attending to detail and exploring and learning new and better ways to “build a better mousetrap!”Specialties: My specialties do not fall into the typical categories suggested here. Rather, I have proven skills in communication, both oral and written and they have served me (and my employers) very well. I "own" whatever it is I am working on and am fastidious in seeing it through from start to finish...and beyond! I am a creative thinker and problem solver and I draw on my life experience as much as my formal education. I'm available and a great find...grab me before someone else does!

As a happy-to-be-working-contractor with a local Wells Fargo Home Mortgage branch, assisting a high-producing team, I was learning the processes involved in new and re-financed mortgages. The first point of contact when clients came to the office or called, I made sure that everyone was treated with respect and consideration and directed accordingly. Anxious to keep my computer skills fresh and up-to-date, I welcomed the opportunity to learn new applications that pertain to this industry. Any knowledge gained is a plus and I was blessed to be able to bring this and my can-do attitude to a permanent position with the right team, in the right arena.

I worked here on a project for a client that develops & supplies state-of-the-art recorded books for the visually impaired, as well as those with other learning differences. It's amazing how easy it is to sell something in which you truly believe!

Call me the mother hen...I took care of the scientists who were taking care of far more important things than office stuff! Having said that, I am, by no means, minimizing what it is I actually did there. While they are were in the throes of discovering new and important drugs, I was keeping a handle on the daily workings of the office as a whole. "Office Administrator" is a pretty broad title, so you pretty much make it what you need to make it...and if it had anything to do with keeping the place running as smoothly as possible, my hands were in it. In addition, I was lucky enough to be learning more MS Office than I knew before and even luckier to be working with an amazing group of folks! While the responsibilities were daunting at first, I grew into the groove and was happy to have been given some of the reigns and been awarded the trust of my co-workers and superiors.
What began as a sales support position morphed into something far more interesting and challenging. Regardless of the fact that I did not earn commission on sales that I actually fostered, the satisfaction of seeing it from beginning to end was truly a plus. At the beginning I was processing ads for both Real Estate offices and Automotive dealers; by the time I left, I was helping to create and sell various specials and packages. At the beginning, we had dispatch going out and picking up all ad materials from text to samples to photos to camera-ready art; by the time I left, we were using far more technology which improved our work flow and gave more hands-on ease and peace of mind to both us as well as our clients. At the beginnig I was helping out with and learning whatever I could; by the time I left, I had far more tools in my belt and many wonderful client relationships and a true sense of satisfaction in not only a job well done, but a career well loved.
Order entry and customer service for art supply manufacturer/distributor. Interfaced with both individual customers (artists, students, teachers) as well as staff at our retail stores.
I was a substitute teacher in grades K-12, but mainly worked in K-6, throughout the district. I was scheduled on a daily basis as well as a week or two at a time.NB:there was NO Education category in the "Industry" list, therefore I had to pick "Higher Education"
I worked there full time from 1980-1983 and then picked up a freelance position with them from 1993-1997.I began as a mechanical artist and was quickly moved to train as a diagram/technical artist. A challenging position, I was able to use my love of both sewing and clean, precise drawing to create step-by-step instructional art for the home-sewer.
