I have worked with the CDMS software project since 1989. I was initially hired as a VMS v 5.1-5.5-3 VAX/COBOL programmer. My position changed in 1993 from Senior Programmer/Analyst to Operations Manager. DuPont sold the company to a new corporation that was owned by a group of the customers. Since this change in ownership, my responsibilities include design and implementation of the software, development of all automated Operating system tasks, for SCO Open Server 5.07, and SCO Open Server 6.0 as well as Red Hat Linux Enterprise v 7 and v8. I also am the sales and marketing contact for the company. Other responsibilities include working with the customers on their technical and application questions. I have assisted several of these customers in complete forensic accounting audits, to find theft within their organizations. I am also the corporate controller. I became a stock holder of the company in 2009.Since I began working with the organization, I learned the TSX Operating system, and SCO Xenix and SCO Unix v 3.2.2. Upon the release of SCO Open Server 5, the company began the migration of our clients to this operating system. We successfully had all customers on SCO Open Server by the Year 2000. I have single handedly migrated the software to SCO Open Server 6, and more recently to Red Hat Linux Enterprise v7 and v8. We worked hand in hand with Micro FOCUS Cobol to ensure that the migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux went smoothly and that the clients would see no difference in the CDMS software that they have grown to love. But RHEL allows us to work with more 3rd party software providers and has bountiful hardware platform supported versus the SCO platform. Many years ago, I rewrote our software update procedures to allow the distribution on CD, which saved the company thousands of dollars a year on postage as the update procedure was previously distributed on Magnetic Tape Cartridge. I also wrote an automated software patching procedure that would download the software patches through the internet. We do not currently support full update distribution over the internet due to Sales tax regulations, as many of our clients do not want approximately a 7% increase in their maintenance fees.I have overseen the release of 30 Major software updates of our software since 1989.
