I learned the basic setup and physics of a standard EOG facility in the Permian Basin.I worked with the Facilities and Production engineers, IT team, and field technicians to eliminate shut-ins due to slug flow to a facility's high pressure separator.

As a resident assistant in LeTourneau University's Honor's College, my main job was to connect with my residents and make sure they were thriving spiritually, socially, physically, and academically. I did this by planning events that helped my residents connect with each other with subjects that made them think. I met with the other resident assistants and the resident director, my boss, once a week to connect as a team and plan events. I also met with my resident director once a week to update her on how my residents were doing and how I was doing.

As an intern I designed new natural gas pipeline placements for CenterPoint's system in northeast Texas. I learned about the different pipe lengths and diameters needed to maintain different pressures throughout the line. I also learned how to cathodically protect steel pipe in order to prevent corrosion. I completed both field and office training to understand more about delivering gas to homes and businesses and, in the process, got to see some new pipe being installed.

Camp Blessing is an amazing place where kids and young adults with special needs are shown the unconditional love of Christ while having an absolute blast at camp! We really want the campers to get the full camp experience that "normal" kids get at other camps, including ziplining, riding horses, swimming, and canoeing.I had multiple jobs at Camp Blessing, which included:Cabin Leader -Responsible for 5-6 campers with special needs and 6-7 volunteers for 5 days and 4 nights -Made sure my campers and volunteers got to events on time, got their medicine, and were given top-notch careActivity Leader -Led different activities for cabins -Stayed in a cabin to help cabin leaders take care of the campers and volunteersBarnstormer Leader -Responsible for junior high volunteers -Led junior high volunteers in washing dishes, serving food, cleaning bathrooms, and participating in different activitiesWorship Leader -Helped lead worship during part of the summer by playing the keyboard

As an engineering intern at Arena Energy, I had to opportunity to learn about the oil industry from engineers on the construction, drilling, and production teams. I got to see past, present, and future projects while listening to an engineer explain his work or by sitting in on company and team meetings. I wrote down questions and was able to ask the different engineers they pertained to. I was given tasks by the different teams and learned about the oil field by researching and completing the tasks. I also learned about the oil industry from fellow interns who worked alongside me.

As an ambassador I worked with the Admissions office to put on events for prospective students as well as give campus tours.

As a waitress at a small "mom and pop shop," I created relationships with customers and served them when they came to dine.

I sat guests, managed the waitlist, and bussed tables during and after the meal.
