I am an Architect from the University of Los Andes, Colombia. I also obtained a minor degree in Industrial Design at the same university. I have 6+ years of experience in my career as an architect: 4 and a half in my home country and 2 in Australia.After 2 years in the industry, I had the incredible (and almost unique) opportunity and responsibility to design a house (VR House) and manage its construction from scratch. It was the toughest project I have ever completed, not for its complexity or size, but because of the limited experience I had at that time and the level of responsibility that I was bestowed with. At the same time, it was the best learning experience a young architect could have. I made mistakes, I assessed them, I learned from them and, in the end, I succeeded in delivering a finished product that exceeded the expectations of the client. When construction concluded, I felt I had achieved something significant: a dream of every architect - to design and build his first house. I am immensely proud of it. I know now that I could have executed some processes or details better, but I am also aware that I will feel the same regarding every project in the future because, as an architect, I always aim to learn from every project in order to improve continually. ​"A design isn't finished until someone is using it." - Brenda Laurel​
