This role builds upon my role as a Commercial Development Officer, managing commercial delivery activities and supporting the implementation of EMEC's sales and delivery strategies. The role focuses on preparing and delivering commercial reports, commercial project management, business development activities, working in partnership with clients and stakeholders, and various other exciting roles at EMEC.

With years of experience in customer service Catrin became the first point of contact for domestic customers offering a wide range of product knowledge and advice, dealing with enquiries and complaints and handling cash sales and account payments. After establishing herself at the company Catrin gained further responsibilities undertaking the role of marketing and promotions creating a new vibrant selection of advertisements, leaflets and promotional materials. Took on the task of daily bank reconciling, updating purchase ledger, working on the sales ledger and coordinating customer deliveries through operations. In 2014 the company introduced their new procedure for customer accounts, developing from a chit system to a fully Sage Accounting paperless system. Placement involves work within the Talent Exchange Programme, Enterprise Workout and activities and promotions supporting enterprise within RGU. Talent Exchange connects with local small and medium sized businesses, including organisations in the third sector, to arrange opportunities for students to gain work experience, using the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies to help businesses grow and innovate. Created and launched a weekly seminar for student entrepreneurs with guest speakers, teaching based activities and competitions. Developing a growth plan for Academic year 2015/16 to expand the opportunities and support available for enterprising students withing RGU. Show less
