For over 20 years, I have been dedicated to improving access to better health information for all people and empowering individuals and communities to solve the complex problems they face. As the Managing Director of BRCAinBC, I lead a team of dynamic professionals and volunteers who are dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by hereditary cancers.My core competencies include health promotion, capacity building and knowledge mobilization. I have a Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto and a Post-Graduate Diploma and Continuing Studies in Couple and Family Therapy from Living Systems Research, Training & Education Society and the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family. I also run a private practice offering individual, couple, and family therapy using Bowen Family Systems Theory. My work has been featured on the CBC and published in various journals and online resources.
