Institutional Sales Technology (IST) division was responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the business units such as Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets.In this role I helped Business Heads of the IST division, with defining, cascading and achieving strategic goals for the division. I was driving Agile adoption across the organization, Business Continuity Management, Workspace Strategy and Vendor Management. I also ran Staff Engagement, Recruitment and Talent retention, Training and Recognition.

Led a cross location team of Product Managers and Business Analysts to develop, implement and run Programs aimed at risk mitigation, efficiency and scale. I was responsible for managing all concurrent in flight projects of the program, from Initiation to Closure. Collaborating with technology leads and senior business sponsors, I built business cases for program funding and authored program charters that would articulate program goals, governance and business outcomes. I was also accountable for the success of those programs.

I was responsible for successful planning and execution of large programs that were crucial for the success of my division (Fund Admin). One of the key programs that I ran was a Business Process Management program called "NAV Workflow", intended to streamline and automate processes and procedures carried out by various functional teams during the most crucial month end activities of signing off NAV. Acting as a bridge between development teams, product and the business sponsors, I worked with business users to understand problems, analyze relevance and importance to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve and automate . Converted those opportunities into requirements and articulate through Requirement Specification Documents using tools such as Process Maps, Screen Mock ups and UI Design.

Managed a team of highly qualified finance professionals (chartered Accountant and MBAs) to provide fund Admin services to clients across the globe. Heading the team, I was responsible for providing daily/weekly/monthly NAV. Profile included all aspects of Fund Admin such as Portfolio Pricing & Reconciliation, Investor Capital Activity, Investor Allocations & Statements, Financial Reporting and Tax Preparation assistance. Liaise with Clients', auditors, counter parties and internal teams to provide one point solution to clients.I was selected to be the pilot for the onboarding and managing the first client from Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore). I went on the build and run the team in Mumbai for smooth on boarding & service to the growing clientele in the region.

During this short stint, I got the opportunity to learn about Treasury Operations of Commercial Banks. I was responsible for confirmation and settlement of inter bank deals like overnight money lending, Fixed Income Products (T Bills, Bonds), Settlement and Processing of Repo/Reverse Repo and Interest Rates Swaps with RBI and other Registered Dealers with RBI.
