As the Cyborg Anthropologist in Residence for NTT, the world's largest telecom, MJ (and his research team) focused on the changes our world will experience in the next hundred years through the lens of the relationship between humans and technology. As key business leaders like client CTOs and CIOs visited NTT's Innovation Institute, MJ presented to and had in-depth conversations with them about the possibilities—and ethics—of technologies like artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (and its coming successor, the Social Network of Things), Big and Little Data, nanotechnology, robotics, and the like in domain like financial services, governments, healthcare, education, and mobility.MJ authored or co-authored several thought leadership e-books, worked with global automaker practice leads to develop a digital strategy program, created a cybersecurity vision for Dimension Data, consulted for end clients in multiple countries, advised the global CEO of NTT and many other NTT group C-suite executives.
