The Women in Power program aims to create opportunities for candid discussion regarding issues that women leaders face and to explore strategies for overcoming them. The WIP panel discussions and networking programs help foster a community built on leadership, inspiration, and mentorship. The program helps women professionals achieve their full leadership potential.

The CAUSE Civic Engagement Leadership Fellowship (CELF) is specifically designed in order to address the need to bridge the gap between local government and APA immigrant communities. In this highly intensive fellowship program, fellows reach out and actively engage APA immigrant citizens by providing an in-language education on the importance of public policy discussion and civic participation through providing increased voter education and outreach services as well as a greater access to local government. Participating fellows are provided with opportunities to acquire valuable professional skills and build vital social networks that will enhance participants’ careers and their effectiveness as community leaders. Fellows also learn about the democratic process through community outreach and engagement.

The CAUSE Leadership Academy (CLA), which was formerly the California Asian American Student Internship Coalition (CASIC), was founded in 1991 in order to develop a pipeline of leadership for the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Despite APAs being the fastest growing community in the United States, representation and leadership has not kept pace with the growing and changing demographics. CLA teaches students the importance of civic engagement and political participation and prepares its participants to be leaders at the forefront of the democratic process. Through exposure to decision-makers, policy makers, and the issues of the day, students gain a deeper awareness of the political issues facing the APA community in California and the nation. Graduates of this program have gone on to run for political office and have even become leaders in politics, business, and nonprofits. The CAUSE Leadership Academy - Los Angeles, CA Program offers opportunities for students to gain firsthand experience in politics through constituent services, community organizing, community relations, legislative research, etc. Program participants intern at the district offices of various elected officials’ offices at the state and federal level. The CAUSE Leadership Academy - Washington, DC Program offers opportunities for students to gain firsthand experience in politics through legislative work, attending various legislative briefings and hearings, conducting policy research, etc. Program participants intern in the highest levels of the federal government including, but not limited to: congressional capitol offices or federal agencies.

The CAUSE Political Institute (CPI) is a political candidate training certificate program for high-potential professionals with seasoned leadership experience and a passion for serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American (APA) community in California. CPI consists of skill development workshops, policy discussions, seminars, and group work among various other activities. Training sessions and activities are led by a unique array of politicians, political and campaign experts, and various other training professionals. Participants complete the program more informed of the issues most pressing to APAs, trained with essential skills, prepared to advocate, and, most importantly—with a network and connections vital for success. The program was co-founded by CAUSE and the USC Dornsife Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics in order to ensure a pipeline of political and civic leadership for the APA community.

The CAUSE Veterans Initiative is a civic leadership program for veterans and reservists who are seeking community leadership roles outside of the military. The Veterans Initiative program was specifically designed for veterans especially interested in increasing the accessibility and awareness of available veterans resources as well as learning how to effectively advocate on behalf of Asian Pacific American (APA) veterans issues. In this program, participants are provided with mentors, professional development opportunities, issue and policy briefings as well as other social capitals that are essential to helping other veterans successfully transition into a civilian lifestyle. During this nine-month program, participants will not only gain insight on issues related to the veteran community and how to provide assistance, but will also be exposed to opportunities for individual professional development. Exclusive access to a network of prominent mentors and enhanced political awareness are a few notable examples.

Throughout the year, CAUSE conducts various voter registration, outreach, and education efforts in order to empower the APA community to be active political participants. By ensuring the community has a reliable means to register to vote and also be informed of the issues relevant to the community, CAUSE forms a network of motivated individuals ready to empower others to be civically engaged. CAUSE workshops, outreach programs, and materials also especially cater to limited English proficient voters requiring Asian in-language support.
