I am a third-year student at Illinois State University majoring in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics. I have a passion for nutrition and the ability to help others. I have demonstrated these passions in many ways throughout my life. During high school, I worked part-time as an assistant in the kitchen of a marketing research company, working with many different foods and many different people. In this role, I learned many things about the science of food.Now at Illinois State University, I am improving my understanding of dietetics and what it takes to make a difference in another person's health. Every day at Illinois State University I learn more about what I have to offer to the world, and a community. I am learning this through collaborating with other students in class and my desire to gain a better understanding of nutrition. I wish to further my improvement as an educator and nutrition counselor with an internship in dietetics. In the future I hope to improve the health of many people through my desire for a longer living community. In the long run, I see myself as a valuable asset to the health of my community.
