As a mechanical engineering lead, I am overseeing the design and development of a new way to allow disabled persons to use their personal wheelchairs on commercial aircrafts, and optimize the transition for these passengers to make air travel more accessible. Our team is working with Boeing and All Wheels Up to prepare to present our idea in the Society of Women Engineers' national design competition.

As an apprentice, I was responsible for the design and creation of mechanical designs and productions in the company, specifically water conditioner components and manufacturing. This included the analysis of Solidworks designs for the new parts and flow control systems, returning feedback with ideas of how to make the products cheaper or more efficient.

As an intern at Ekso, I worked individually and with teams on multiple projects surrounding the various exoskeleton products the company produces. I began by redesigning attachments for the foot sensors of the lower limb exoskeleton, and designing/manufacturing a squat test stand for the same device. I also performed numerical analysis for both design feats. In my free time I assisted with a new upper body extremity exoskeleton, focusing on the addition of shoulder straps for users with limited mobility.
