Caylin Yorba-Ruiz (she/her/ella) is a graphic artist devoted to community wellness, advocacy, and social justice to promote healing. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Cultural Studies from the University of California, Riverside in 2018. Caylin is a recipient of UC Riverside’s Healthy Campus Initiative grant, which enabled her to distribute empowerment-geared art to survivors of sexual violence and create hand-drawn and hand-lettered coloring books as a resource across various campus centers. Some of these centers included Counseling and Psychological Services, Women’s Resource Center, and CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education).Caylin has recently obtained a Master of Social Work to further her reach in community-based organizing. She aims to better understand the connection between art, social justice, and community healing.
