I am in charge of media relations at the library, coordinating all media interviews and producing and sending monthly press releases. I am the managing editor of the quarterly programming magazine and am in charge of coordinating magazine brainstorming meetings, photography, graphic design, article creation, programming lists, editing, sending the magazine for printing, and distribution. I have been involved in planning and executing multiple communication campaigns, including the You Belong campaign launched during Library Card Sign-up Month in September 2024. Every month, I also produced patron newsletters and blog posts for our website. Every week I plan and create social media content, and develop social media strategy based on current trends, current promotions, and other key factors. I manage the library's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Nextdoor. I also manage social media liaison staff throughout the library district who run the 24 Facebook pages for each of the libraries in the district. I am part of the editing team that copyedits all communications, including web content, magazine and newspaper articles, brochures, flyers, graphics, and other marketing materials. Part of my job also involves creating and maintaining promotion schedules that guide the communications we produce each month. Although it is not a regular part of my job, I am also involved with revising company policy document when applicable, such as the recent redesign of our extensive brand guide.

I handled most of the Loveland Public Library's communications. Every week, I worked with the different library divisions to create and schedule weekly social media posts on the library's channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Nextdoor, and YouTube. I created communication campaigns for upcoming library programming, and combined graphic design and storytelling to create posters, social media graphics, bookmarks, and other print and digital marketing materials for advertising the library's programs and services. Examples of other regular publications I put together include annual reports, monthly events and services guides, marketing materials for the Friends of the Loveland Public Library's big book sale, occasional video production, and instructional materials for library patrons. In addition to creating communications, my work involved photography (DSLR camera), management of the library's photo and video assets, videography, teaching technology classes to library patrons, participation in committees, writing and posting news stories to our website, and use of the Adobe Creative Suite. I frequently collaborated with other departments within the City of Loveland, Colorado State University, Larimer County, and other partners to create and spread communications about events and services the Loveland community would benefit from. I also designed and taught technology classes for seniors that were well received and popular.

I taught public speaking courses with Front Range Community College, following my department's expectations and state standards. I developed coursework, assessments, and weekly lesson plans, and guided students through public speaking. In my first semester, all courses were online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I taught classes using Zoom, and built comprehensive online learning environments for my students using Desire to Learn (the college's learning portal). This position was gratifying in so many ways, but the thing that stood out most to me was watching students transition from feeling intense anxiety about public speaking to feeling much more comfortable with it by the end of the course. I made a habit of reaching out to students periodically throughout the semester if I noticed their work quality going down, or they started missing assignments and classes. When I did this, student performance often went up. I had one student write in the end-of-semester review that my reaching out to them came during a tough time when they started slipping in all of their classes and encouraged them to come back and keep trying.

As a GTA, I worked under professors to support students and teach labs. The bulk of my duties involved teaching labs twice per week in which I helped students become more familiar with Adobe programs and guided them in project creation. I was also involved in managing the class's online portal in the Canvas system. I graded student assignments, including essays and work in visual communication. Part of my work also involved communications with students and professors. During one semester, I had the honor of managing a team of graduate teaching assistants over the course of the semester, making sure they were up-to-date on course happenings, coordinating breakout class sessions, and supporting them in learning teaching best-practices because they didn't have a background in education but were involved in teaching three breakout classes and grading student essays.

I interned with the Rocky Mountain Research Station of the Forestry Service, doing back-end website management and upkeep, copyediting, graphic design, and content creation. I enjoyed opportunities to help create social media posts, and assisted with database upkeep. Part of my duties also involved communicating with the station's scientists when updating online project information or creating new web content. In addition to my regular duties, I had the opportunity to create an infographic to convey financial data to station management.

In this position, I had the privilege of planning lessons and activities, quizzes, projects, and writing assignments for a stellar class of students with varying degrees of English language acquisition.

I worked as an instructor who served adult learners seeking to acquire their GED or to take the ACCUPLACER in order to place into community college classes. My primary responsibility was to guide student study to help them achieve their academic and career-related goals. In addition to giving instructions in four core content areas, I helped track student attendance data, and regularly built organizational spreadsheets to track important information.

I worked as a cashier and blog writer. I wrote roughly 3 blogs per week using Microsoft Office and Google Docs for the Jax Mercantile website. The blogs focused on a combination of product highlights and outdoor recreation insights, depending on what promotions Jax wanted to highlight. Cashier responsibilities included customer service, helping customers find products, cashiering using the Celerant program, answering phones, and basic store upkeep. I returned to Jax the summer of 2018 as head cashier for the summer.

I wrote roughly 10 blogs per week for dental websites around the nation. The blogs were posted on the dentists' websites with hyperlinks to relevant site content, and each was geared toward SEO. I used Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Wordpress, and Asana. I also did copywriting for website content pages as needed.

During my time at Braden Dining Hall, I had a hand in food preparation, serving line, customer service, and cleaning. This position was a part-time position held during my time as a student at CSU. It was a short period of time because I did not start until late in my college career, and had to leave the position in my last semester at CSU because student teachers were not permitted to have jobs.

I worked with Aramark in the summer of 2010 and again in the summer of 2013. My duties included being a cashier, general customer service, cleaning, stocking, marking incoming stock, and occasionally cooking.My interest in the Pikes Peak gift shops stemmed from a love of the area's history combined with my love of Pikes Peak. I enjoyed sharing information about the mountain and surrounding area while assisting travelers to the best of my ability to ensure they had a good day in their vacation at least while they were on the mountain.
