My professional career has evolved from a technical towards a management profile, always within the area of materials (cement and concrete) and structures. I spent 4 years designing an dimensioning concrete structures in the Technical Department of FCCCo. After that, I specialized in CAE as a sales engineer of the International Department of Ingecíber, where in a year and a half we signed new dealers in Brazil and South Africa and the turnover increased by 30%.In 2008 I joined the Prospective Department of OFICEMEN (cement association) where I was responsible for market analysis, the development of new promotion strategies and the institutional representation of members. It was a fantastic learning period straight from the General Manager, who mainly assessed my work by achievement of aims and gave me a great flexibility in my day to day work. There I developed a customer focused profile.At the end of 2011, I became part of the Technical Department of IECA (cement institute), where I learnt from colleagues with more than 20 years of experience and I specialize in new fields such as soils treated with cement, concrete pavements, special concretes, thermal inertia and sustainability.In 2012, I am appointed Innovation Manager and in 2021 the Director of the Technical Department, position in which I am responsible for managing a team made of five engineers.Additionally I regularly collaborate with the Open Innovation Community in innovative activities and I am the Director of an MSc in Innovation Management in Structuralia.Recently I have undertaken a Master in Big Data and Businees Analytics and I have finished my Degree in Business Administration at UNED University, which has taken me a little bit longer than expected.Always seeking new professional challenges.Invite me to your network or contact me at cbartolome@ieca.es or +34 608262375.
