Responsibilities include organizational direction and support in the areas of Human Resources (benefits/compensation, employee relations, recruitment, professional development, training), marketing (advertising, sponsorships, recruitment, events), facilities (5 offices in the southeast), and HRIS / CRM tools.

In this volunteer role with Birmingham's primary organization serving HR professionals throughout the Region, duties include the recruitment and coordination of students and volunteer faculty throughout the 2013 Academy. Supported all company goals and objectives through the Human Resource function. Provided associate relations support for the Corporate management team while serving as employee advocate. Supervised the staffing and retention of corporate employees, managed and communicated performance management, and coordinated compensation within the corporate office. Managed severance and retention programs, LOA processing, employee recognition program, Executive payroll, and departmental budget. Exempt-level manager responsible for all aspects of merchandising, Human Resource management, and Operations.* Within 3 months of initial hire, was promoted to Acting Store Manager. Through active team building, product awareness, and customer service, brought store from 13% below plan to 1% above at year-end. * Trained staff on Company sales philosophy and product knowledge. Administered quarterly training updates on new merchandise, per Company directive.
