In my current role as Senior Managing Director of Standards and Engineering Services with ASME, my joy is found helping people be safe, in establishing diverse teams that work collaboratively to solve problems and promote safety, and in finding creative, cost-effective solutions to eliminate waste and establish efficiencies. Developing others to be prepared for future leadership roles through inclusion and empowerment, allowance for mistakes, and by offering opportunities for continuous improvement through experiential and formal training are foundations of my leadership style. Over the course of my military, civilian, and governmental administration career, I have been able to cultivate positive interpersonal relationships throughout the United States, Canada, the EU, and India in the regulatory, energy, fire service, and manufacturing sectors. My career has allowed me to develop experience in power plant construction, energy production, business development, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, Fire and Life Safety Code issues, dispute resolution, state and local government, emergency operations, and in leading international organizations, boards, and committees.My professional values of customer service, process improvement, relationship building, and safety guide my decisions and actions.
