Advised the Marine and Ocean Data Expert Group (MODEG) and EMODnet of the EU Commission on distributed data networks and data server technologies in the Marine Science domain. Advised colleagues on the potential of OpenData to support Blue Growth, i.e. growth in the marine/maritime economy. Contributed to the output of the Union for the Mediterranean Stakeholders Conference on Blue Investment and Jobs in the Mediterranean.Developed links with NOAA and promoted NOAA data brokering technology as a solution to unifying distributed environmental data networks. -
