Role listed
Project Manager
I manage day to day site mod activities from construction start through troubleshooting and on air. I report and coordinate with multiple teams both internal and external on project milestones and challenges.
Associate Project Manager
I joined the Birmingham/Memphis market after the Atlanta market. This market we a strained relationship with the customer, to improve this I created a troubleshooting guide that was issued to the field improving the cycle time from construction start to on air. I engaged the construction managers and started training them to troubleshoot common defects. This training was beneficial and the management team proceeded to develop additional training to be used nationwide. The team developed documentation and procedures that we took out into the field and used to train our GCs, this improved the quality of the build and reduced time spent troubleshooting. Crown now has a larger share of this market. The Chicago market was in need of help and a new team was brought in. This market was severely behind on closeout packages. Talon was being implemented and I worked closely with the GCs to iron out the procedures that would be used to shorten the cycle time from construction start to closeout package approved. When I was assigned this market we had a backlog of close to 200 closeouts due, when I left this market the backlog was less then 20. This was accomplished while also continuing a full build schedule.
Office Construction Manager
I was the sole customer facing contact in the Atlanta market for Crown managing construction, integration and troubleshooting of Nokia equipment. I managed all data to ensure accurate reporting to upper management. I implemented a policy of pre authorization prior to troubleshooting to reduce the time for payment to less than a week. I was involved with daily reporting to the client on project milestones and build schedule. Once this market was completed, I transitioned to the scoping team and became the backup OCM for the Alabama and TN markets.
Ef&I Enigineer
I am currently working on several different ongoing Verizon projects including Fronthaul, 4TX and ECIP0 deployment in various locations across the country. Prior to this I was installing the AWS equipment in various cell sites in TN, NC and SC. Once the equipment was installed, I completed the call testing and integration of the newly installed equipment. I worked on the Buss Bar Retrofit project, bringing the cell sites into warranty compliance in TN. I worked on Carrier Aggregation projects in MI, IL and WI installing XMUs, PDU’s and ancillary equipment.
National Field Engineer/Project Manager
We developed documentation for the beginning of the Network Vision project related to the installation and troubleshooting of the MMBS and all related equipment. We worked in the Lab in Chicago, IL and installed the 16 Fit sites in Spring Field, IL. We trained EMS technicians on the equipment and worked jointly with EMS and Sprint to make sure everything meets Sprints standards. I worked Directly with Tier 1 vendors to build out the Puerto Rico market to Sprint standards. We performed quality audits and further developed the standards, MOPS and TSB’s still used on the project today. I coordinated the build out of the Indianapolis market with the tier 1 vendors as the Operations Manager. During this time, I was responsible for coordinating with several teams to make sure that we met Sprint's time line for sites on air. I dispatched technicians and tower crews to ensure everything was built in the scheduled timeline. I kept detailed trackers and reported directly to the regional PM. During this time, my region was responsible for a third of all Samsung on airs.Once the majority of the Indianapolis build out was complete, I transferred to Ohio and was promoted to the Project Manager for the state. I was tasked with implementing procedural changes that would improve quality and productivity of the team. The standards that were put in place helped improve the quality of ATP’s passed to RF. There was also an improvement in the first time success rate of our M1 activity. During the 3rd quarter of 2013, twenty percent of all on airs nationwide came from the Ohio market.
Microwave Field Operations
While I was in Atlanta, I was responsible for all microwave repairs as well as handling any links that required special attention to meet the design specifications. I traveled daily to sites making sure links were being built to Clearwire quality standards. In between troubleshooting, repair and quality verification myself and a Tiger Team would also path links using Dragonwave, Ceregon, Redline and Motorola. I was also in charge of coordinating several tower crews to maintain network stability as well as meet an aggressive build schedule.
