As a PhD Student and Researcher in the Management of Complex Systems program at UC Merced I am focused on diving into the Gaming and Esports industries to more deeply understand how gamers collaborate to build relationships online. There are a lot of assumptions about gamers and youth in our society, when in fact they are some of the greatest, strategic, and innovative minds we have...they just aren't positioned to showcase their potential outside of the game. I hope to shine light on the complex activities and social capital development that is happening within gaming communities and the value this understanding can hold for education and organizations that are transitioning to remote/hybrid work. I am also working on Esports Management curriculum with UC Merced Extension to offer High School Students opportunities to learn about different career fields within a space they are passionate about and already interact with on a daily basis. I also play League and TFT or watch Twitch everyday to stay connected to the changing landscape. I pride my Servant Leadership on my intuitive decision making, and my adaptibiltiy to teammates needs on my self-awareness. My goal is always to be one of the best teammates you'll ever have...on the court/field or in-game.Goals: -Understand Gamer Communities at a deeper level to develop more productive gamification programs in Education and Organizations.-Showcase Merced's beauty, undervalued talent, and for the massive opportunity it is.
