Interpreting Indicators of Rangeland Health (IIRH) is a 17-indicator qualitative range assessment. Lead responsibilities included supervising two technicians, logistical planning, project partner correspondence, managing a Microsoft Access database, administrative paperwork, report writing, quality control checks, and maintaining safety/situational awareness. Other tasks include working/ camping in adverse conditions, off-trail navigation, 4x4 driving, collecting GPS and photo points, characterizing soil horizons, plant ID, data entry, burrowing owl monitoring, timber assessments, Aquatic AIM sampling, and wilderness first aid training.
