I have provided visionary oversight, managed operations, strategic planning, and budgeting, led fundraising through grant writing and donor engagement, and implemented impactful community programs focusing on local youths, women, and Indigenous communities, while setting organizational goals, formulating policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Under the highly competitive National Geographic Society grant, I have successfully crafted project strategies in alignment with Community Centred Conservation (C3) Philippines Inc., secured essential funding, built partnerships with local communities, empowered Tagbanwa youth in participatory coastal and marine research, and developed capacity among Tagbanwa leaders to establish an Indigenous Marine-Managed Area.

I pursued a Master of Science. This program prepared me to address coastal sustainability challenges through interdisciplinary coursework and real-world experience. I engaged in on-campus learning about coastal sustainability's scientific and policy dimensions, followed by a full-time capstone project in collaboration with a practitioner partner. The program emphasized leadership, innovation, and collaboration to tackle social-environmental problems. I benefited from personalized mentoring, career development support, and need-based financial assistance, all of which equipped me for a career advancing sustainable coastal and marine ecosystems.

I led site planning, managed budgets, and implemented project strategies, focused on integrating climate resilience into ecosystem-based fisheries practices, established Locally-Managed Marine Protected Areas, and mobilized local youth, women, and Indigenous fisherfolk to champion sustainable fisheries and marine biodiversity conservation.

I initiated the nationwide development of the fishery products' value chain assessment, aligning it with the national fisheries industry development plan, played a key role in capacity-building for the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in trade and marketing, directed the BFAR-Price Monitoring Program with a comprehensive market price analysis system, represented the Bureau in interagency task forces and WTO Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) discussions, and led efforts in managing Credit and Investment Facilitation Services to create investment pipelines and credit windows for small fisherfolk.

I reviewed client-submitted Export Commodity Clearance (ECC) requirements for compliance and accuracy, conducted rigorous verification and taxonomic identification of fish and fishery commodities for export, provided technical guidance on current regulatory requirements, established and managed an export database for research and planning, and performed on-site inspections of fishery establishments to ensure adherence to export regulations and standards.

I was involved in marketing and sales for Pacific white shrimp feeds, fries/fingerlings, and aquatic health products, provided technical support to shrimp farmers on aquaculture system operation, including feeding management and disease control, and advocated for sustainable shrimp farming practices while conducting research on market trends.
