1. Learning the basics of setting up a wind farm2. Prepared the project schedule for 247.5 MW Wind project on Primavera P6.3. Released the Engineering and Procurement schedule to set a timeline for award of various packages for the project.

Planning and Projects Engineer. Responsible for Pre-Planning, Scheduling, generation of MIS, Inter-departmental Coordination, Project Execution, Liaisoning activities and other miscellaneous responsibilities at Construction site. Worked on various aspects of a project like costing, budgeting, liasioning, procurement, order status tracking, final closure and handover of the project. The executed projects were all PV Solar Power Plants.Basic work done:-• Prepared the initial milestone schedule, basic schedule and then the level 3 detailed schedule on Primavera P6 for three solar power projects of a total capacity of 55 MW (5MW, 30MW and 20MW)• Monitored and updated the schedule on a weekly basis, prepared the progress reports, generated S-Curves for resources and progress expectations.• Lead the site team to resolve critical issues and coordinated between the head office, site team, the contractors and the sub-contractors for submittals, bills and work progress issues to ensure a smooth and timely execution of project• Performed delay analysis for contractors to justify penalties and delays• Supervised teams during concrete pours, quality checks, equipment testing, installation and commissioning

This was a lab and research oriented internship for the period of a month. I was involved in Non-Destructive testing of concrete structures. My responsibilities were to conduct various non destructive tests for the samples that were obtained from various live construction sites. This was a great learning experience, and was very different from the Site work.

The project was a luxurious high rise residential apartment complex that had different buildings in different stages. I got exposed to foundation works, sub strata work, super structure construction, finishing works and even plumbing and wiring. My responsibilities included review of submissions, checking the drawings, verifying the execution on site, quality inspections, rebar inspection, simple budgeting, sub-contractor follow-ups, to mention a few. And this was an unpaid intern I undertook to learn about the building construction.

This was a world class residential complex that was being constructed as a development facility for the Commonwealth Game athletes. Being the first project, I was involved in going through the drawings, understanding various aspects of construction like scheduling, estimating, labor management and process of an activity.
