Established on the Island of Madeira in 1811, Blandy’s is a solid family group which continues to be based in Madeira, with investments in mainland Portugal and Brazil.Celebrating over 200 years since its foundation, the group today has consolidated its interests into four major core areas of business: Hotel Investments, Madeira Wine, Travel & Shipping, and Real Estate.The company’s history is intrinsically linked with the historical and economic development of Madeira. Seven successive generations of the Blandy family have successfully developed, sold, maintained and created new business enterprises and in this way assured the success of the group for the future.In 2022 we were really happy to take our Madeira Wine Company to the next level by making it B Corp Certified, joining a group of companies who are reinventing business, by combining profit with purpose. We integrated a lot of the B Corp philisophy into the other companies within the Blandy Group and now working towards certifying our Travel and Shipping Agency.
