Technical Project Manager - Cybersecurity
CurrentInformation systems technical project manager for BAE SYSTEMS’ Military Electronics & Combat Systems (MECS) division. Key responsibilities include evaluation of externally generated mandates and their potential impact in relation to operations and existing IT security. Manage the implementation and administration of divisional cybersecurity projects and initiatives. To include DOD DFARS 252.204-7012 (NIST 800-171) and BAE Cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-52). Analyze existing or proposed DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation processes and provide final recommendations and direction to management. Serve as subject matter expert in regards to IT cyber-security, its frameworks, policies and standards and as point of contact with government program representatives on project and contract information systems issues. Develop security related best practices, policies and procedures including disaster recovery/business continuity planning and execution. Management and oversight of divisional cyber-security projects including the day-to-day technical and operational support. Manage the development, implementation, and enforcement of cyber-security policies and procedures for the MECS Contractor’s Network.Lead special projects and monitor compliance with customer requirements. Work with staff and managers to maintain responsiveness to customer requirements. Regularly interface with customer to maintain open communications and to develop or expand business opportunities.Key Accomplishments:► Conducted in depth analysis and selected all commercial software for the organization► Successfully managed several complex projects including a network upgrade from frame relay to MPLS circuits and the implementation of DOD Common Access Card/SSL authentication for IDS SharePoint sites► Designed and developed the organization’s disaster recovery plan for the IDS department ► Oversaw the SharePoint 2010 install, design, and implementation
