I am a postgraduate student with Illinois UC FSHN's Stasiewicz Lab, having previously completed a MSc in Food Science and Technology at Cornell, and both a MSc in Bioinformatics and BSc in Pharmacology at The University of Manchester. My current research projects focus on risk assessment modeling of Salmonella in poultry projects and the establishment of a public central database for produce testing samples.Furthermore, I am skilled in coding R, Python, NetLogo and C++ and have frequently used computational solutions to address biological problems. My Masters research thesis at Cornell focused on constructing agent-based models for Listeria spp. contamination in produce food safety and analysing the data produced. These models were used for contamination behaviour characterisation, assessing virtual intervention performance, and investigating persistent contamination patterns.I have worked with Community Radio WRFI in Ithaca to produce science-related pieces and interviews, and have also done freelance photography work for Chabad on Campus at Manchester, as well as several other societies.
