Volunteered at Yale School of Medicine evaluating whether PF-02545920 reduces the effects of ketamine on brain activation during causal learning as measured by fMRI compared to placebo in healthy human subjects, and to evaluate whether behavioral measures of abnormal causal learning under ketamine are reduced by treatment. The randomized double-blind study focused primarily on lateral prefrontal cortex activation, a casual learning task score, and a working memory task score.Continued work at Yale in a second study assessing if ketamine will induce, in healthy volunteers, impairment of working memory and if the drug AZD8529 will block the effects of ketamine on working memory as assessed by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
