I believe that providing a quality education for ALL is essential to creating socially just educational systems and societies in which all people have the opportunity to thrive educationally, economically, and spiritually.International Educator/Administrator• International consulting and leadership training experience in locations including Haiti, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda and Ethiopia • Advocate, ally, and coach for justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging• Fluent in French & English• 25 years experience teaching and education administration and leadership, including Waldorf, Montessori and adult education programsSocial EntrepreneurIn 2023, I founded Turtle Up, a non-profit organization that seeks to conserve and preserve Ghana's sea turtles. Turtle Up is about education, conservation, and community transformation. In our model, the poachers become sea turtle advocates and cultural guides for our eco-trips customers/travelers.Doctoral Research Study “Low-Fee Private Schools in West Africa: Case Studies from Burkina Faso and Ghana”Authored doctoral study that sought to examine how proprietors and directors of low-fee private schools who attended a three-day leadership training in Burkina Faso and Ghana were able to a) transfer the newly acquired knowledge to their schools after attending a three-day leadership training; b) what promoted and hindered learning transfer in both countries; and c) examined the extent to which the use of mobile technology after the training enhanced learning transfer. The findings from this study promote the development of more effective learning transfer methods to increase the impact of the billions of dollars spent each year on aid worldwide. In the education field in Africa, this study is particularly important to educators, curriculum designers, policy makers and governmental agencies who provide funding to produce and deliver quality education in the Global South. This study also demonstrates the value of examining learning transfer as a means to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals’ aim to provide quality education for all by 2030.For more information about my research, teaching, and facilitating, please email me.
