Performed key leader engagements with locals in order to build trust and promote the legitimacy of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Worked closely with the Provincial Reconstruction Team, Department of State and USAID.

Served as the Bagram Ammunition Supply Point accountable officer while simultaneously serving as platoon sergeant for a platoon of 60 soldiers. Successfully conducted one year of 24 hour a day ammunition operations with zero lost time accidents through the institution of unit standard operating procedures and continuous training. Cared for 30 pieces of material handling equipment by ensuring proper maintenance cycles were completed. Responsible for over 160 million dollars in ammunition inventory.
