As a seasoned commercial litigator with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in delivering effective, creative solutions tailored to my clients' unique business needs and objectives. My practice encompasses a diverse range of business disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as cross-border litigation and arbitration. I currently work with the National Association of Attorneys General as part of the Litigation Skills Team and provide in-person and online training and educational content for attorneys general nationwide. I also manage the Energy, Environment, Civil Rights portfolios, acting as a liaison between Association members and related agencies.I continue to work as a Florida Supreme Court Certified County and Circuit Court Mediator and have successfully mediated and co-mediated disputes through the Florida Courts and the Florida Department of Financial Services ADR Programs. Additionally, I am a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator, having arbitrated attorney-fee disputes under The Florida Bar Fee Arbitration Program. I currently serve on the Florida Bar's Standing Committee on Grievance Mediation and Fee Arbitration.My dual perspective from both sides of the arbitration and mediation tables allows me to advise clients on practical strategies for resolving domestic and international disputes. It also offers me a unique perspective when training attorneys in negotiations and litigation skills and related ethical issues and considerations.Beyond litigation, I provide clients with comprehensive legal counsel on negotiating and drafting employment, operating, partnership, and purchase/sale agreements. I also assist them with establishing effective conflict management protocols and advising on corporate governance, ensuring that my clients are equipped to minimize litigation risks.
