It was easy to see the immense value of having an experienced business professional with a rich network and a personal wealth of resources on our team, so I persuaded Chris to stay on in what eventually morphed into a COO role. During my tenure as President and CEO of Harbor, Chris was instrumental in stabilizing the infrastructure of the wholly independent company that had lost access to senior accounting, finance, and HR resources of the former parent company. This involved directly managing and coaching employees in every functional group within the new global entity. Chris also played a significant role in cutting costs, restructuring the business, and improving profitability during this time. He was involved in every significant program, bringing experience, an unabashed willingness to learn, and a passionate pragmatic approach to problem solving.
