Reporting to the Group Company Secretary and General Counsel, the Interim Regional Counsel is a key business partner to the North, Central and South American businesses of UK-based Morgan Advanced Materials and is primarily responsible for reviewing and negotiating all commercial contracts including high value/high risk supply, purchase, agency, distribution, NDA's, IP licenses and other commercial agreements. In addition, the Interim Region Counsel manages significant litigation and dispute resolution matters, advises on human resource and employee-related matters, manages external counsel and high profile legal issues across the Americas.

Provide comprehensive in-house legal services for two business units of Textron Inc.: its E-Z-GO and Jacobsen Divisions. These in-house legal services include contract and other legal document review, draft and negotiation; commercial litigation and dispute resolution management and analysis; compliance program development, implementation and execution; preventative, remedial and business desired training on legal topics: acquisition and divestiture/general transactional counsel; company initiative participation, including Six Sigma projects as well as enterprise policy and process implementation; leasing and finance company-related counsel; and intellectual property administration, acquisition, documentation and dispute resolution advice.

Provided comprehensive in-house counsel to several Textron Financial Corporation (TFC) commercial lending divisions: Vendor Finance Division (VFD), Floor Plan Division (FPD), Technology Finance Division, Finance Company Services Division and RFC Capital as well as TFC’s Information Systems (IS) department.

 Defended multi-national corporations, including insurance companies, product manufacturers, retail stores and other entities in both state and federal litigation. Represented clients in insurance defense, insurance coverage, commercial, products liability (firm’s largest practice group), medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. Deposed numerous plaintiffs, witnesses and doctors, produced individuals, including doctors, for deposition, appeared daily in Cook County state court on motion call, handled motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss and motions to compel.
