This is an expansion role with responsibility for complete Product Business - Architecture & Software, Industrial Components and LV Variable Frequency Drives.

o Directs and guides the commercial and technical sales support activities for all Automation & Software products. o Works to develop new business opportunities and support Sales when opportunities are identified. o Guides the team as a commercial and technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and support closure of complex technical sales. o Provides feedback to the Business on market and competitor activities and future business needs.

(As Interim Basis)o Drives achievement of product & services sales through the respective DI’s (Distributor’s) for the assigned APR, executed in accordance with defined Sales Plan.o Supports DI partners to achieve growth in its targeted accounts and meeting customers’ needs through effective collaboration with RA Sales and functional support teams

Manager of The Commercial Engineering Team

o Develops strategic applications to solve real-world customer automation problems including direct technical customer interaction.o Create documents such as tech notes, application notes, and white papers to illustrate product usage in customer applications, some complex in nature.o Prepare technical materials, presentations and tools to improve sales force effectiveness.o Serve as a Rockwell Automation technical representative internally for product development and externally to industry associations and standards committees o Interact with multiple businesses, peers, sales and marketing, and will be expected to cultivate these relationships.o Participate as a member of a team including Quality Assurance, Customer Support and Product Management, to resolve post-sales product and application issueso Travel globally in support of Rockwell Automation goals and objectives such as customer visits, training and tradeshows.

o Delivers resolution of technical issues. o Serves as the primary customer interface on service callout & designated projects. o Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. o Ensures customer satisfaction, and builds relationships at the technical level within Rockwell customers. o Instruction/training of customers on proper use, operation and maintenance of Rockwell Products. o Responsible for meeting project & contract goals, including professional, accurate, and timely reporting expectations. o Supports an environment conducive to successful team interaction. o May participate in proposal development activities for conversion projects or support contracts. o Occasionally performs project management function for customer projects, including commercial, technical & financial responsibilities. o Implementation and execution (and possibly management) of preventive maintenance programs. o On-call emergency service support if/as needed based on availability & skill set required (24X7)
