• Led Earthjustice’s congressional advocacy on oil and gas production on federal lands and waters for five months, including lobbying congressional offices, drafting floor amendments, and contributing to press releases.
• Supported efforts to oppose the Dirty Permitting Deal by organizing coalition meetings with congressional staff, drafting opposition letters and fact sheets, and sending email blasts to Capitol Hill.
• Planned and helped lead several fly-ins, including one on protections for mature and old growth federal forests where 15 constituents met with 42 offices over 2 days.

• Coordinated the creation of the quarterly Conservation Programs report to the Board of Directors by communicating key deadlines to several Vice Presidents, editing and synthesizing draft reports from seven departments.

• Scheduled meetings between dozens of activists and 17 congressional offices for a grassroots advocacy week.

• Conceived of and drafted legislation to create a process to identify and rename offensively named landmarks and public lands, igniting a campaign which culminated in a 2021 Secretarial Order to begin evaluating and.
• Created a database of Tribal leaders and Indigenous organizations to guide the organization’s outreach efforts.
• Analyzed data from the U.S. Board on Geographic Names to quantify the number of potentially offensive names for landmarks.
• Created Esri StoryMaps showing the location of potentially offensively named landmarks.
• Drafted legislation and factsheets to rename Woolsey Peak Wilderness and Mount Evans Wilderness, two egregious examples of public lands named for individuals who led massacres against Native Americans.
• Provided feedback and edits to support draft legislation to enhance tribes’ ability to influence management of cultural landscapes and sacred sites on public lands.

• Tracked environmental legislation and attended committee hearings during the 2019 session.
• Drafted amendments to address concerns about bills which would negatively impact the Department’s ability to conserve and protect natural resources.
• Created an online document repository to catalogue 80 cases related to Maryland riparian area conservation.
• Created litigation documents including pleadings binders to support legal actions taken by the office.
• Monitored state and federal court dockets to track cases that the office was litigating.

• Scheduled and managed congressional lobby days in collaboration with coalition partners for Latinx and Native American constituents to discuss the importance of protecting NEPA and reducing coal ash pollution.
• Conducted legislative research examining congressional efforts to restrict access to justice for Earthjustice’s 2018 report “Access to Justice: Defending our Country and Our Courts.”
• Wrote a seven page internal report investigating management of the Atlantic Striped Bass fishery.
