Strategic Communications Lead
Current- Strategic Comms Lead for the Directorate of Mission Services (MS), the most globally dispersed and diverse directorate in DIA.- Built MS strategic communications from ground up by implementing a style guide, creating regular comms products from the MS Director, and holding daily touchpoints with MS Offices to develop messaging themes and augment comms capabilities.- Led all internal and external communications for MS, with emphasis in the areas of training and professional development, facilities and services, logistics and deployments, human resources, medical services, and security to communicate a unified MS vision.- Created MS fact book to capture MS successes and areas of concern that was valuable during the incoming DIA Director’s transition briefs to highlight MS activities worldwide and support to strategic competition initiatives, and updated the fact book monthly to track MS successes, items of interest and talking points for senior leaders.- Built positive collaborative relationships with CAGs and DAGs, which has reinforced DIA branding and messaging across all DIA Directorates, strengthening MS and DIA branding with unified comms.- Created innovative communications products tailored to the MS Director’s brand, strengthening her reputation as a forward-thinking leader regarding upskilling, AI/ML, and constrained resources. Under my tenure, the MS Director’s speaking engagements quadrupled from Q4 FY23 to Q2 FY24.
