As the Portfolio Manager for Quantum Software at Infleqtion, I perform programmatic oversight for the QSW portfolio. In this role, I leverage my experience coordinating and transitioning deeply technical projects to help connect quantum breakthroughs to Government and industry needs. I obtained my Ph.D. in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University under the guidance of Professor Di Xiao (now at the University of Washington). My main research focus was in quantum and classical characterization of spin-mediated transport in topologically non-trivial systems. Before joining Infleqtion, I was a Principal Scientist in the Detection Systems group at Physical Sciences Inc., working on several computational and machine learning-driven projects in the domain of sensing and data fusion. Before pursuing my Ph.D., I received a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Physics from Florida State University in 2012. Under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Bonesteel, my undergraduate Honors Thesis, "A Quantum Compiler for Topological Quantum Computation", resulted in a prototype software for visualizing quantum "circuits" for qubits encoded using Fibonacci anyons. In 2014, I received my MS in Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Sudhir Aggarwal. As a graduate student, I participated in the Non-Conventional Search and Identification project, developing a distributed system for coalescing and verifying information from unreliable data sources. From January 2015 to August 2017, I was a member of the faculty of the Computer Science department at Florida State University, primarily teaching Programming Languages, Computer Organization II, and Python Programming.
