Cara A. Berg-Carramusa, Pt, Mspt, Edd Email and Phone Number
I am a passionate & authentic person who aims to be a part of & contribute to something bigger than myself. I love to celebrate & support other humans working towards the greater good in our world. I am a servant leader, educational scholar, facilitator of learning, healthcare provider, mentor, & connector who aspires to do meaningful work as a professional woman, mother, & human. I am pragmatic, intellectually curious, & always wanting to explore & understand the why, what, & how. I am a metacognitive thinker committed to openness, inclusivity, & understanding of others lived experiences for meaningful & contextualized perspective. I am intentional with my efforts to be dynamic, innovative, & strategic in my thinking & doing while leaning on available data & diverse perspectives to guide my process & fill my gaps in experience & knowledge. I value collaboration & bidirectional partnerships across various communities (professional & societal) to diversify, optimize, & enhance operations & outcomes for all stakeholders. I believe in the influential power of organizational culture, structure, & effective leadership. I appreciate organizations that support psychological safety while embracing innovation, growth, & progress towards success. I aim to work alongside of teams that have shared values, advocate for data-driven decision-making, & embrace the pillars of evidence-based practice within a culture of excellence, high expectations, & collegiality. My professional journey has been rich & has afforded me many opportunities to learn & grow in becoming a difference-maker & change agent. I am a physical therapist (PT) by trade. I have served in various practitioner & leadership roles across the healthcare sector and gradually shifted to higher education as adjunct faculty to an associate professor and administrator embracing teaching, scholarship, & service. As a PT I’ve served various patient populations across multiple settings (outpatient, home health, acute care, post-acute inpatient rehabilitation) & numerous pathologies. I have been afforded the opportunity to work & learn within several different interdisciplinary teams & organizations, including an international experience in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. The diversity & density of my professional experiences across healthcare & higher education industries have empowered me & supported my process of developing knowledge, skills, & attitudes that let me pivot & be dynamic & adaptive in a variety of roles across many industries as an educator, scholar, practitioner, leader, administrator, & human.
