I have a strong passion for volunteering and helping the underprivileged. I have traveled all over doing mission trips from St. Louis to Haiti and India. It has been on these trips that I have discovered the meaning of life and what it means to love one another. One of my dreams would be to open up non-profit organizations in my local community to help serve those who are in need and provide them the human dignity and respect that they deserve. I believe that all people need to be shown love and it is our job not to judge, but to treat them with the respect they deserve. I also have a strong passion for leadership and team building. Some of my favorite courses that I have taken during my time at UNL have been ones that have challenged me to step outside myself and look at my leadership skills and how teams can succeed beyond what is expected of them. Through my time as New Member Educator for my sorority and being in many other leadership positions in different organizations I have had firsthand experience testing my leadership skills and learning how to improve them and practically apply them right now. Knowing my love for people and team work it didn’t surprise me when I found out my top strengths were positivity, individualization, communication, and woo. These strengths personally describe who I am as I strive to get to know everyone on an individual level so that I can address their personal needs and the best way to encourage them to reach their full potential.
