I meet with decision makers, helping them by providing them with the solutions they need to turn a greater, more secure, profit than they may have elsewhere. I introduce and develop agencies in developing markets like Iraq and Thailand. Contract Preparation: A buyer’s work is much more than what most vendors see when they receive a RFQ. There is a ton of technical preparation that goes into each order. From Material requisition to signed award I diligently constructed each file of 8 layers (tabs) of pertinent information relevant to each solicited vendor and the materials listed in the award. My desk would Have anywhere between 60 and 80 Requisitions in various stages of processing at any one time, and I would clear between 8 and 10 each day.Vendor Selection and Negotiations: A good Buyer knows the capabilities of his vendors. I kept track of which of my vendors where competitive in various areas and I carefully placed them in my bidder’s list to ensure the greatest amount of completion and the best price and quality for our award. This often included vendor negotiations to get the best price/delivery times for our end user.
