I was the first contact ISU community members had to coordinating outreaches. Through my time as the coordinator, I increased the visibility of the ISU Biofeedback Center by reaching out to various groups on campus. This culminated in annual outreach experiences with several campus-run conferences, including Eating Disorders Awareness Week and First-Year Institute. I was also the Marketing Coordinator from August 2015 to May 2016. I was expected to produce biofeedback brochures, bookmarks, and business cards, as well as maintain the accuracy of information on the Center's webpage. My Technology Coordinator position (August 2014 - August 2015) had duties specific to maintenance and support of hardware and software concerns. I was responsible for contacting out biofeedback sensor supplier with questions regarding faulty sensors, consultation for sensor refurbishment, and ordering new sensors. I coordinated computer updates and researched new software that may be used in the Center. Additionally, I created a biofeedback application list for client, staff, and student use as a resource for learning about biofeedback, maintaining skills learned through orientations, and introductions to biofeedback as a mindfulness practice.
Teaching Assistant
As part of this position, I taught 7 total discussion sections for Iowa State University's (ISU) 400-level Psychological Measurement course. I modified lecture slides to provide a more interactive experience for my discussion sections, created engaging methods for studying through Jeopardy-based reviews, and provided real-life examples of statistics that students could grasp. Part of my duties also included grading quizzes, administering tests, and providing office hours for students.
