Leading a team of 4 actuaries, ESG specialists and regulators to craft pioneering reporting and disclosures guidance notes for ESG reporting to be exposed to and adopted by the Kenyan insurance sector players.

*Review organizational structures and external environment and develop a unified Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and reporting framework*Develop and embed Operational Risk Management Framework across all subsidiaries*Track and report all major risks faced by the Group and its subsidiaries to respective boards.*Ensure compliance with regulatory and AML/CFT requirements

• Supervision - Directly supervise 4 life insurance companies, with gross written premium of $250m, to ensure adherence to the Insurance Act and IRA regulations; Conduct due diligence on the financial and operational health of moderate and high-risk companies to propose risk mitigation measures • Regulation - Draft new and modify existing IRA guidelines and Insurance Act for the $2.1b insurance industry to entrench corporate governance best practice, ensure risk-based supervision is responsive and supportive of insurance innovation and that the industry is attractive to investors.• Training - Train insurance personnel on new guidelines and amendments to the Act for ease of adoption

• Financial Modelling – Developed financial models to carry out budget forecasts and monitor performance; Build models to evaluate profitability of insurance distribution partnerships• Strategy and Insurance Valuation – Performed internal and statutory actuarial valuations of insurance liabilities; Prepared board reports and ad hoc actuarial reports; Carried out business planning and budget performance tracking; Developed asset liability matching models and Investment Policy Statements for the life business to reduce capital strain• Product Pricing and Development – Research and develop new life insurance products; Undertake repricing of existing products; Code products into Prophet, the actuarial valuation software• Foundational Market Access – Supported and made responsive changes to a unit-linked investment product, accessible on USSD, aimed at low income investors leading to a 10% increase in assets under management• Leadership – Was the East Africa Product Lead for the analysis of life insurance product sold by UAP Life and Old Mutual Life after acquisition of UAP Holdings by Old Mutual;
