I am an educator who is transitioning to the field of Instructional Design and eLearning Development. I am a skilled collaborator who listens well and questions for understanding. I spark conversations by addressing problems from multiple perspectives so that proper solutions are found. I follow the ADDIE and SAM models and work with SMEs and stakeholders to judiciously design and develop eLearning modules, ensuring alignment between the needs analysis findings, the learning objectives, the content, and the assessment. I am dedicated to inventing relevant and engaging learning experiences through the use of real-life scenarios. As an educator, I work with learners from grade seven through adult. As a World Language teacher, every class contains students at various language proficiency levels. How do I meet the needs of all learners at their levels? By conducting needs assessments, I adeptly change my teaching practices based on my audience's knowledge of the content and the desired outcomes. I incorporate adult learning principles (based on the learners' ages), job aids, instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, gamification, and blended learning into my designs. I am detail-oriented, personable, and animated. When I am not creating learning works of art, I enjoy camping, hiking, and fishing with my family. I am a spirited traveler who has visited 14 countries to date. If I cannot spend time outdoors, I complete puzzles - 1,000+ pieces! I love challenges.
