General Duties • Analysed and evaluated the latest welding and NDT related equipment available in the current market• Gathering commercial quotations from vendors to come up with a budgetary estimation • Initiated technical discussions with each manufacturer, and then proposed a list of suitable equipment according to project specific requirements• Analysed and did a comparison of commercial proposals, and then creating an automated excel sheet for easy comparison• Proposals’ cost captured and to advise estimating project cost for bidding purposes• Tendered and won an intra-group services proposal to headquarter in France• Capturing information from plan on pipeline and recording the parameters on a matrix before determining the amount of materials required for the Welding Procedure Qualification Test, Welding Qualification, NDT qualification and during project execution• Amount of materials determined then used to draft a Request For Quotation to subcontractors• Recorded the time and motion study of a project, and did a comparison of performance against past performance• Data from time and motion study was extracted and used for the welding rate of pipelines estimation for tendering• Verifying blueprints to ensure materials requirements is sufficient• Did a study on current pipeline manufacturing methods and presented the findings internally within the department• Analysed an safety incident and conducted a safety toolbox discussion within the department• Analysed and compared the parameters of various vessels used in this industry• Organizing and execution of project welder qualification• Analysed project requirements and came up with a project specific MTO for WPS, WPQT and Execution phase. Achievements• Project Deltahouse completed offshore campaign 2 weeks ahead of schedule. • Attained an “Exceed Expectations” rating in performance appraisal (2014).• Recommended for promotion within 18 months.
