As the Co-Chair of the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, I oversee the academic and administrative affairs of the school, and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation among faculty, staff, and students. I hold a Doctor of Education in STEM Leadership in Schooling, and I have a strong background in curriculum design, professional development, and educational research.In my current role, I also serve as the Ed.D. & MAT Graduate Program Director, where I lead the design and implementation of the Master of Arts in Teaching program, which prepares aspiring teachers for high-need subject areas and urban settings. I leverage my skills in public speaking, education program development, and adult education to deliver engaging and effective trainings, workshops, and courses for teacher candidates, mentors, and supervisors. I also collaborate with local school districts, community partners, and state agencies to ensure alignment of the program with the standards and needs of the education system. I am proud to have contributed to the success and growth of the program, which has graduated over 500 teachers since its inception in 2016.
