Douro Business School é um projeto piloto, na zona de Trás- os-Montes e Alto Douro, levado a cabo pela ENB - Escola de Negócios das Beiras (www.escoladenegocios.com) e a SPA Consultoria| Arregaçar as Mangas (www.spa.pt). Tem como principal objetivo atuar junto das pessoas que vivem os negócios com a perspetiva de as motivar para o contínuo melhoramento das competências e de as treinar para aumentar a sua performance empresarial. Este projeto conta com o apoio local do Régia Douro Park – Parque de ciência e tecnologia onde decorrerão os cursos avançados e executivos com condições especiais para as empresas, empreendedores e colaboradores residentes.

Provision of services to institutions: Diagnostics strategic and action plans, business plans and financing transactions, investment projects or operative, socio-economic studies, training and cooperation networks, inter-organisational diagnosis, design, planning and evaluation of local development projects and social action.Work to highlight:- “Program of promotion and support to self-employment in Vale do Tua”, 2010 EDP-“ Incubation and entrepreneurship program associated with the AAE UL-Loureiro”,2010 Câmara Municipal de Oliveira de Azemeis (in partnership with Quartenaire Portugal) -“ Programme for the promotion of Inclusive Entrepreneurship in the districts of Chelas – Marvila”, 2011, Câmara Municipal de Lisboa (in partnership with Quartenaire Portugal)-“ Design and program of the Ecomuseu de Santa Eugénia – Living Village”; 2011, Junta de Freguesia de Santa Eugénia - AlijóPrograms implemented:-“ Premium EDP Sustainable Entrepreneur SABOR 2010”

This project conceived and promoted exclusively by local technicians in 2001, was one of the selected at European level, in the area of creating companies and local development, for participation by the Community initiative EQUAL and has as main objective the fight against unemployment and activity rates in the region. www.wikipreneurship.eu/index.php5?title=GLOCAL The initiative Glocal had the following external recognitions: 2005 –EQUAL best practice by the European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/employment_social/equal/data/document/etg2-suc6-glocal.pdf ) ; 2006 – Best practice/ study case on Social Capital and Rural development by the European Foundation;2006 – Best practice in the use of new technologies in support of inclusive entrepreneurship; 2007- EU study case in inclusive entrepreneurship 2007 – Honorable and 2nd Prize in the category "enterprise support" in the European Enterprise Awards;2007 – Selected for mainstreaming within the project of restoration of Critical Neighbourhoods of Lisbon;2008 – Elected European study case of Social innovation by NEXTREV (Area education and employment);2008 – Selected for mainstreaming in corporate social responsibility policies in the areas of EDP's hydroelectric; 2009 – Selected by the IAPMEI for mainstreaming into the national programme for the promotion and support of local entrepreneurship.

(1) Provision of consulting services to companies: strategic and operational management, strategic Diagnostics, feasibility studies, business plans and funding operations, training and cooperation networks, business and ICT's domotic, benchmarking and value management, evaluation and recovery of businesses; (2) Director of GLOCAL: Coordination of technical teams, design, development and evaluation of initiatives to promote and support entrepreneurship, developed solutions (Premium program, micro-credit system, sponsoring system, Volunteers Mentoring Program, entrepreneurs on network, …) (3) National Coordinator for the European project "Enterprising Seeds" promoted by IMFOF (Palma de Mallorca) in partnership with Euclid (Belgium), Garapen (Spain), Bic – Tuscany (Italy), Maire de la Ville Stains (France) and overcoming SPA consulting (Portugal).This international partnership, created under measure 2-monitoring, evaluation and Benchmarking-of preparatory measures for local actions for employment promoted directly by the European Commission, aims at the development and implementation of experimental tools for monitoring, evaluating and benchmarking in support of local employment strategies.(4) National Coordinator for the European project "E-NESP-Besoin en service rapide, focused on enabling services to the elderly (5) Consultant in the design, development and evaluation of local development projects and social intervention. Energising partnerships, Coordination of technical teams, design, development and evaluation of initiatives to promote and support entrepreneurship, implementation of solutions developed by Glocal (Premium and micro credit program, sponsoring system, Volunteers Mentoring Program, entrepreneurs on network, …), project management and founding.

The functions performed encompassed the entire strategic planning in the region of Trás-os-Montes, production monitoring and evaluation of performance of the agencies assigned to the Directorate, as well as human resources management, recruitment, training, motivation and evaluation.
