Involving myself in several schemes across the North East of Scotland, dealing with maintenance and repairs of sites.

Involved with inspecting sections of road which have had accidents due to skidding (HD28/04, DMRB), and investigating the cause, and how they could be prevented in terms of road maintenance. This involved documenting any defects present. Estimating costs of repairs of sections of road and organising dates and times for contractors to be present.

Organising three SUDS Online Courses. Reviewing guidance papers, researching Source Control in other countries while also looking at Stormwater Management in the United Kingdom.

Main aspect of this placement was to develop my skills Peat Probing. Using GIS Software in order to design road routes, on-site probing of the location recording details. With additional knowledge gained in multi-story steel design.

Annual service checks were carried out on all vehicles within Scotland that were fit by the company on a day to day basis. This required time keeping, effective and efficient management of the ongoing checks.•My last two years of my apprenticeship I was offered to join the newly developed Oil and Gas sector.
