I held the position as a Lead for the Training & Development committee for the Orientation Leadership Team with a focus in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I worked on a team with 15 other students for roughly 30 weeks in order to create a program for 500 volunteers in order to prepare for the next upcoming class of students at Cal Poly.. The Orientation program saw over 5000 students go through programming that my team and I planned and executed.

Through being a sales associate, I gained the ability to move and think quickly which resulted in further developing my critical thinking skills. I would work long hours selling and promoting products at Nike to any consumer interested in our products through great customer service.

This job required lots of patience when dealing with such diverse students. Along with that, taking initiative on my own to learn, beforehand, all possible materials that a student would need help on was crucial as they were in need of my time and knowledge. Also, I took a lead role as a tutor and made sure that every other tutor was doing their job as efficiently as possible.
