I'm a motivated and passionate Educator in my 9th year of teaching. I currently teach Spanish 1, 2, and 3 at Carlsbad High School. I taught Spanish I to 8th grade students at a Title I School for 6 years. I have a deep desire to see students grow in their knowledge and function of the Spanish language, its culture, and contributions to society. I want them to know that there is value in what they are learning, and that they can actually use it. As a heritage Spanish speaker and after years of study, I am considered Superior-Proficient in the Spanish Language.Versed in the G-Suite and Microsoft Office Applications.It is important to me to be involved in my student's lives through coaching intramural soccer, co-leading our school's International Club, and taking students to the Latino Youth Leadership Conference every year. I also cooperate in the many functions of the school, such as the planning and implementation of our school-wide STEAM initiative, curriculum planning, and mentoring new teachers.
