System Specialist
Current- Maintains computer software and hardware to minimize equipment downtime and maximize recovery, equipment reliability and operating efficiency. - Maintains and operates Input/Output systems, i.e.: sensors, Man-Machine Interfaces and stand-alone processors. - Utilizes diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, various data analyzers and data recording devices in troubleshooting and repair of automation systems. - Makes hardware and software upgrades to Programmable Logic Controllers, Micro Controllers and Process Computer Systems. - Implements process automation systems and maintains a high technical aptitude of automated systems hardware and software. - Functions as the “off-shift” technical leader for process automation systems. - Provides technical training and support for the unit electricians and maintenance technicians on Programmable Logic Controllers.
